The U.S. to Impose New Sanctions on Georgia

The U.S. has announced plans to declare new sanctions against Georgia in the coming weeks, as stated by State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller on Monday. This was reported by TASS.

“We are very concerned about the state of democracy in Georgia and the actions being taken to undermine it. We will have additional actions that we will take in the upcoming weeks,” he said during a press briefing.

Miller clarified that this pertains to a specific new package of sanctions, which will be announced in the coming weeks.
