Black Ice, Fog, Snow: Roads Closed

The Rescue Service reports that there are closed and difficult to pass roads in the territory of the Republic of Armenia.

The road from the "Amberd" high mountain meteorological station to the Kari Lake is closed in the Aragatsotn region.

The serpentine roads of Spitak and Stepanavan are closed for trucks with trailers. In the high-altitude areas of the Syunik region, and in the regions of Gegharkunik, Artik, Talin, Aragats, Aparan, Garni, and Ashotq in some places, there is black ice on the roads. In the section known as Gorayk-Zanger in the city of Kapan and in the Aragats region, snow is falling. Fog is present in the Armavir province.

Drivers are advised to travel exclusively with winter tires.

According to information received from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the Crisis Management Center of the Russian Federation's Ministry of Emergency Situations for North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Larsi road is closed for all types of vehicles.
