Why the Yerevan–Nizhny Novgorod Flight's Plane Spun in the Armenian Sky for 2 Hours
Julya
The plane operating the Yerevan–Nizhny Novgorod flight ('Shirak Avia') spun for nearly 2 hours in Armenian airspace. This information was reported by Sputnik Armenia based on data from Flightradar.
'The issue is related to the inflation system, which is necessary for gaining altitude. It is not a serious problem. We are in contact with the crew. The aircraft is now circling to burn off enough fuel to have sufficient weight for a safe landing at Zvartnots,' said Levon Karamyan, the General Director of Shirak Avia.
He assured that a backup plane is waiting at the airport with a new crew to safely transport the passengers.
It is noted that the aircraft, which had 117 passengers on board, has already landed.
