Armenian Weightlifter Withdraws from Competition

The World Weightlifting Championship continues in the capital of Bahrain, Manama. Today, December 12, our country's representatives, the 96 kg weight class competitors Hakob Mkrtchyan and David Hovhannisyan, were scheduled to take to the competition platform.

However, during the start of the snatch event, Hakob Mkrtchyan withdrew from the competition. The 27-year-old athlete likely sustained an injury. This was reported by Armesport.

Only David Hovhannisyan from the Armenian team will continue to compete today, December 12.
