Armenia's Opponents in World Cup Qualifiers Revealed
On October 13, a draw was held in Zurich for the European qualifying tournament for the 2026 World Cup. The Armenian national team has been placed in Group F.
Group A: Winner - Germany/Italy, Slovakia, Northern Ireland, Luxembourg
Group B: Switzerland, Sweden, Slovenia, Kosovo
Group C: Loser - Portugal/Denmark, Greece, Scotland, Belarus
Group D: Winner - France/Croatia, Ukraine, Iceland, Azerbaijan
Group E: Winner - Spain/Netherlands, Turkey, Georgia
Group F: Winner - Portugal/Denmark, Hungary, Ireland, Armenia
Group G: Loser - Spain/Netherlands, Poland, Finland, Lithuania, Malta
Group H: Austria, Romania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Cyprus, San Marino
Group I: Loser - Germany/Italy, Norway, Israel, Estonia, Moldova
Group J: Belgium, Wales, North Macedonia, Kazakhstan, Andorra
Group K: England, Serbia, Albania, Latvia, Liechtenstein
Group L: Loser - France/Croatia, Czech Republic, Montenegro, Faroe Islands, Gibraltar
The UEFA qualifying group stage will begin in March 2025 and conclude in November 2025. Only the teams that finish in first place will earn direct qualification to the World Cup. The second-placed teams will compete in playoffs. The first matches of the qualifiers, consisting of five teams, will take place on March 21-22, 2025.
