US Intelligence Warns of Potential New Attack on Ukraine with 'Oreshnik'
US intelligence has warned of the likelihood of a new attack on Ukraine using the 'Oreshnik' system, which is expected to take place in the coming days.
According to US intelligence assessments, Russia may again employ the experimental medium-range ballistic missile system, 'Oreshnik', to strike Ukraine shortly, as reported by Associated Press and Reuters, citing American officials.
According to an AP source, the use of the Oreshnik in the US is more seen as an act of terror than a turning point on the battlefield. The source added that Russia possesses only a few of these missiles, which carry a smaller warhead than the other missiles that have been regularly fired towards Ukraine.
Washington does not believe that the Oreshnik will change the course of the war, the Reuters source further stated.
