Russia Highlights Key Considerations for Migration Policy

Russia must prioritize the interests of its own citizens when regulating migration policy, according to Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation.

“The most important thing is to calculate the consequences of the decisions we make in the field of migration. Whether it involves the education of migrant children in schools or the procedures for their entry into the country, and the presence of their families, we must first focus on the interests of Russian citizens. We protect our country with our legislation, while of course respecting the fundamental rights of those who work here in Russia,” Medvedev stated.
