Mandatory Russian Language: State Duma Decision

Before enrolling a child in school, the legality of their stay in the territory of the Russian Federation will be verified, as well as their knowledge of the Russian language. This was reported by the Chairman of the State Duma, Vyacheslav Volodin.

It is prohibited to admit migrant children to Russian schools without knowledge of the Russian language.

“Since the beginning of the year, the State Duma has adopted 14 federal laws initiated by deputies aimed at improving migration policy and combating illegal migration,” the Chairman of the State Duma elaborated.
