VIDEO: Dead and Tortured Bodies Found in Syrian Notorious Prison Basements
After the downfall of Bashar al-Assad's regime in Syria, those celebrating victories include families whose members, friends, and relatives have been held captive for an extended period, confined in prisons and subjected to torture. This is reported by Daily Mail, detailing that it concerns the prisons where, according to Western media, Assad's regime has tortured representatives of opposition forces, dissidents, and their loved ones.
In this context, the infamous Sednaya prison, located not far from Damascus, has been highlighted; it is often referred to as the "People's Slaughterhouse" and is regarded as a hub for brutal torture and executions.
In newly released footage, decaying bodies are seen being removed from the building's basements in special bags. Now that those freed from these prisons have reunited with their families and are recounting horrendous details about life behind bars, the organizers of the torture may soon be held accountable.
