The Ministry of Internal Affairs reports that numerous advertisements on various internet sites are enticing citizens to invest with promises of high returns.

“Information about such sites is actively advertised, especially on Facebook and Telegram. Should we trust all these announcements? Certainly not. By providing your phone number on such websites, you will quickly be contacted by scammers from call centers using domestic or international phone numbers, who will encourage you to make financial investments in cryptocurrency or other sectors, assuring you of guaranteed high profits.”

Do not rush to make investments; seek advice by calling the Ministry’s hotline for internet fraud at 011 52 52 52 (the hotline operates on working days from 09:00 to 18:00). Just remember, by succumbing to tempting offers, the likelihood of suffering significant financial losses increases dramatically,” the statement reads.
