VIDEO: Why Did Pashinyan Go to Paris?
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, accompanied by his wife, traveled to Paris today to participate in the reopening of the Notre-Dame Cathedral. The event will solemnly present the results of extensive reconstruction efforts.
The 860-year-old medieval cathedral, a symbol of France and Paris, has been meticulously restored. "The fire that broke out in Notre-Dame was a national wound; you managed to heal it," said French President Emmanuel Macron during a recent meeting with restorers involved in the reconstruction work.
It is worth mentioning that we previously reported that newly elected U.S. President Donald Trump has arrived in Paris, where he will participate in the inauguration ceremony of Notre-Dame Cathedral. Approximately 40 heads of state and government will attend the ceremony, more than five years after a massive fire destroyed the cathedral's roof and part of its interior.
