Video: I Am Confused by Putin's Comments, Says Mamijanyan
I am confused by the Russian president's comments, as it is clear that the issue pertains not to the Republic of Artsakh, but to the aggressions directed at the Republic of Armenia. This was stated by Hayk Mamijanyan, the leader of the 'Honorable Path' faction in the National Assembly, during a briefing with journalists in the parliament, referring to the recent statements made by the Russian president regarding the CSTO and Armenia, where he said it would be strange for the CSTO to go and fight on behalf of Artsakh.
To the observation that the claim 'Azerbaijan has not attacked Armenia' is unacceptable from a military ally, Mamijanyan responded, 'I have already said that I am confused by the assessments expressed by the Russian president on that day, but the logic of his statement indicates that he was generally speaking about the 44-day war, so I wouldn't draw the generalization you mentioned.'
