VIDEO: "I Wanted to Personally Choke Him" - Alen Simonyan
The Speaker of the National Assembly, Alen Simonyan, provided details regarding the leaks made by Hovik Ahmadzaryan, who was removed from the ruling Civil Contract party. He stated that the Prime Minister often meets with the faction, sharing details from his international meetings, including discussions with the leader of a neighboring country. It turns out that during these communications, information has leaked and appeared in the press.
“Members of the National Assembly must know that they have no right to disclose confidential information. Hovik Ahmadzaryan has had contacts with all possible individuals,” noted the Speaker in a conversation with journalists.
Simonyan mentioned that he was in shock during yesterday’s Civil Contract party board meeting. “To be honest, until yesterday, I tried in every possible way to protect Mr. Ahmadzaryan, but yesterday I wanted to personally choke him,” he elaborated.
He added that Ahmadzaryan showed no remorse for his actions. “On the contrary, he was more aggressive, more resistant; there was an impression of inadequacy regarding him, and not only from my side.”
