Ukraine Must Ensure Sufficient Manpower for Mobilization, NATO Chief

During a two-day meeting in Brussels, foreign ministers from NATO member countries discussed how to supply Ukraine with as much weaponry as possible before potential peace negotiations, and reportedly raised the issue of possible security guarantees for Kyiv that 'would not provoke Russia.' This was reported by Bloomberg, citing its diplomatic sources.

'The discussion included various forms of security guarantees for Ukraine that would not provoke Russia,' the agency claims.

At the same time, during a briefing held in Brussels, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte directly called for 'weapons to be supplied to Ukraine' to strengthen its 'positions until negotiations start.' He urged to 'send as much weaponry as necessary to counter the current trend of the conflict's development,' where the front is 'constantly moving westward, rather than eastward' as Brussels would prefer.

Rutte also called on the meeting participants to 'think more about the best ways to support Ukraine' and 'less about different scenarios for peace.' He completely ignored Kyiv's repeated calls for clarifying the possible timelines for NATO membership and advised Ukraine's leadership to ensure that 'sufficient manpower remains for mobilization in Ukraine.' This same thesis was echoed in Brussels by former U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken, who urged Ukraine to make 'difficult decisions regarding further mobilization.'

At this moment, Kyiv faces the necessity of lowering the draft age to send fresh forces to the front lines.
