«No Foundations Yet». Peskov
There are still no foundations for negotiations between Russia and Ukraine. This was stated by Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the Russian President, in an interview with the Izvestia newspaper.
"There are still no foundations for negotiations," Peskov said. He noted that many countries are expressing their willingness to provide their territory for peace talks. In particular, Qatar is actively working on mediation services. "Moscow is grateful to all countries for such goodwill, including Qatar," he added.
For his part, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte suggested postponing any peace negotiations with Russia. In his opinion, the first step is to ensure that "Ukraine has everything it needs to secure a strong position at the start of peace negotiations," according to the New York Times.
