The Armenian Embassy in Syria Issues a Statement
We inform our compatriots that a hotline has been established at the Armenian Embassy in Damascus to assist them: +963 96 000 36 22. This was reported by the Armenian Embassy in Syria.
“Currently, the lists are being verified to see whose passports are ready. There are passport applications that are still in the preparation phase and are located in Armenia. Efforts are being made to find ways to deliver the existing passports to their owners. Once the situation stabilizes somewhat, the consulate will contact the recipients and inform them where and how they can collect their passports.
At this moment, organized evacuations are impossible. We urge our compatriots living in Aleppo and the surrounding areas to refrain from moving around as much as possible, and to completely avoid attempts to leave the city at this time.
Those compatriots who have applied for Armenian citizenship but have not yet received their passports, as well as citizens of Armenian descent from Syria who wish to travel to Armenia, can contact the Armenian embassies in Damascus or Beirut to obtain entry permits (visas) in an expedited manner.
The Consul General of Armenia in Aleppo is currently located at the Armenian Embassy in Damascus and continues to work in an emergency mode from the embassy,” the statement reads.
