No Coercion or Urging, Only a Request: Minister of Justice

No coercion or urging was involved; it was merely a request, and the term of removal from office is inappropriate, said Justice Minister Surbhi Ghalyan in a conversation with reporters regarding the removal of heads of power structures and the Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council through SMS.

According to her, all these individuals were relieved of their duties at their own request. “When the Prime Minister sees that there is a deviation from politics, he has the right to address issues with all senior officials. If there are seemingly insurmountable problems within the judicial authority at this moment, and the responsible person, in the opinion of the Prime Minister, is unable to resolve these issues, discussions at the level of a request are normal,” she stated.
