Yeraskh-1 Military Unit to be Returned to the State: Details

On November 29, 2024, the Anti-Corruption Court granted the Prosecutor General's request and declared void the sale contract between the Ministry of Defense and E.A. regarding the alienation of the Yeraskh-1 military unit valued at approximately 60 million. As a result, the court annulled the registration of rights made in the name of E.A. This information is provided by the Armenian Prosecutor's Office.

It should be noted that on April 28, 2023, the State Interests Protection Division of the Prosecutor General's Office filed a lawsuit in the Anti-Corruption Court, demanding the annulment of the contract tied to the alienation of the approximately 2200 square meter barracks and other buildings of the Yeraskh-1 military unit located in the village of Armash in the Ararat region, as well as a special-purpose land parcel of 1.2 hectares, which was concluded on January 13, 2009, between the Ministry of Defense and E.A. Furthermore, the court also confirmed a settlement agreement signed with the Prosecutor General's Office in a separate ruling on September 12, 2023.

As a result, the 9000 square meter special-purpose land parcel and buildings with an area of 993.7 square meters, located at the address of the Yeraskh-2 military unit in the village of Armash, have been returned to the state, officially registered on January 4, 2024, under the State Property Management Committee of the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure.
