Lavrov Expects Attention on Significant Dates from Armenians
In a welcoming address to participants of the second public conference "Russia-Armenia" that started in Moscow, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov reminded of significant historical dates for both nations, particularly the 80th anniversary of the Victory and the 200th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Turkmenchay.
"I expect that you will pay great attention to such remarkable dates in our shared history as the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War and the 200th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Turkmenchay," said Lavrov.
The Russian Foreign Minister emphasized the importance of the conference and expressed gratitude to the organizers, hoping that the event would allow for a comprehensive analysis of key aspects of Russian-Armenian multilateral relations and outline pathways for their development. Most importantly, he noted, it would contribute to strengthening trust and mutual understanding between the two fraternal nations.
