We Refuse to Negotiate EU Membership. Kobakhidze

Georgia has rejected the prospect of negotiating its EU membership until 2028. Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze announced this decision, asserting that the country aims to become a full EU member by 2030.

“The road to the European Union will be challenging for us. We expect a six-year journey ahead. Our goal, as previously stated, is to join the EU by 2030,” he emphasized.

Kobakhidze also pointed out that the EU must demonstrate that the economic development of Georgia and the improvement of its citizens' welfare are valuable and fundamentally important issues for the union.
