Biden: The U.S. Will Try to Convince Turkey

U.S. President Joe Biden has written on X that in the coming days, the U.S. will once again attempt to reach a ceasefire in Gaza with Turkey, Egypt, Qatar, Israel, and others, as well as the release of hostages and an end to the war by stripping Hamas of power.

Residents of southern Lebanon have begun to return to their homes following reports of a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Lebanon.

President Biden confirmed that an agreement has been reached regarding a ceasefire between Israel and the Lebanese Hezbollah movement, aimed at halting 13 months of ongoing battles. This has been one of the deadliest conflicts in decades for Lebanon, with over 3,823 people killed.

“Fighting will cease tomorrow at 4:00 AM local time (6:00 AM Yerevan time),” Biden said, adding that this aims to be a "permanent cessation of military operations." He noted that Israel is obligated to withdraw its troops from Lebanon within 60 days, and that Hezbollah will never again be allowed to threaten Israel's security.
