Lars is Closed in Both Directions

Due to deteriorating weather conditions, the Khaichi Pass on the Mtskheta-Stepantsminda-Lars international highway is completely closed in both directions for all types of vehicles. This was reported by the customs attaché of the Armenian Embassy in Russia.

Earlier, it was reported that around 450 Armenian trucks are stranded at the Russian-Georgian border. In total, 1,370 trucks are currently waiting at the Lars checkpoint.
