VIDEO: What Changes Are Being Made to the Pension Law

The volume of pension funds, where citizens' pension contributions are accumulated, continues to grow at a rapid pace. This was stated by Armen Nurbekyan, Deputy Chairman of the Central Bank of Armenia, during a meeting of the Financial and Budgetary Affairs Permanent Committee of the National Assembly.

"The volume of pension funds has already reached about 1 trillion drams, which is a very significant figure. The volume continues to grow at a very high pace," he said.

He noted that they play a fairly high role in terms of investments in both government securities and high-quality corporate securities. The number of fund participants is about 460,000.
