Use of Weapons and Attempted Abduction in Yeghegnadzor: Details

In the regional investigative department of Vayots Dzor, it has been established that on November 19, 2024, around 23:00, an incident occurred in the yard of a grocery store on Spandaryan Street in the city of Yeghegnadzor. A.S., along with his friends, had a conflict with V.Q. and his friend R.V., during which they verbally violated public peace, showing disrespect and a blatant disregard for moral norms.

Not satisfied with the events at that location, A.S. suggested continuing the clarifications elsewhere. Opposing V.Q.'s will, he grabbed his clothing and forcibly pulled him toward a Suzuki vehicle parked nearby. At this point, his friends S.A. and M.H. joined him, also grabbing V.Q.'s clothing and trying to push him into the Suzuki.

S.A. reached around V.Q.’s back, took a 9mm caliber handgun from his waistband, and held it to V.Q.'s head, demanding he get into the vehicle. S.A. then fired a shot into the air from the aforementioned gun and again aimed it at V.Q.'s head, continuing to demand that he enter the car.

Meanwhile, M.H., R.H., and A.S., as a group, forcibly pulled and hit V.Q., against his will, and successfully got him into the vehicle. However, R.V. intervened and removed V.Q. from the car.

Based on sufficient evidence obtained, public criminal prosecution has been initiated against A.S. and S.A. under Article 297, Part 2, Point 1, and Article 44-191, Part 2, Points 5 and 7 of the RA Criminal Code, while M.H. and R.H. are charged under Article 44-191, Part 2, Points 5 and 7. As a precautionary measure, A.S. and S.A. have been detained, while M.H. and R.H. are under house arrest.
