VIDEO: "It's not someone's 'daddy's shop'" - Simonian to Kocharyan

The Speaker of the National Assembly, Alen Simonian, made a post regarding the statements of MP Levon Kocharyan.

“Just a moment ago, my spokesperson sent me a video showing how MP Levon Kocharyan is upset that he cannot work with the government, that trivial things are being done against him, and that he wanted to be included in friendly groups, but was not included. He even wanted to go to Geneva to speak about prisoners. In short, people want to work but are not allowed. It's ironic that MP Kocharyan thinks that the National Assembly of Armenia is something like a restaurant where it’s convenient to send Seyran Ohanyan when needed, expecting him to order that Levon should be in the Armenia-Iran friendship group, Armenia-US friendship group, Armenia-Ukraine interparliamentary commission, and the NA should fulfill the order.

By the way, at the first session discussing this issue, Ohanyan didn’t even show up. During the second session, a question was posed: can you substantiate why, for example, MP Kocharyan should simultaneously be in the friendship groups of three conflicting countries, which is not normally done for understandable reasons? What is the rationale behind this, and the only answer given by the leader of the ‘Armenia’ faction, General S. Ohanyan, did not convince us at that moment. The justification was that he speaks English well.

As for going to Geneva and speaking about prisoners during the interparliamentary conference, it turns out that Mr. Kocharyan found it inconvenient to attend the planned 4-day conference, as he only wanted to talk about prisoners during the first two days, then he had other places to go. Mr. Kocharyan has specific days for talking about prisoners, after which, he has other business. It does not work that way; either you come to work or you don’t. If it was convenient for you before, it isn’t any longer, and it will not be like that.

Neither the positions of the committees are taken, to avoid problems with sharing, nor do they take the position of vice-speaker of the NA, to not upset Ishkhan Saghatelyan. They come to sessions partially, some of them press buttons from near the door and run out of the hall to avoid salary issues or the question of losing mandates, etc. Sorry, but the NA of Armenia is not someone’s 'daddy's shop' that you can come and talk whenever you like, attend interparliamentary conferences when you want, pick up the country’s menu, and say, ‘well, I want this, this, and this, and I don't want this.’

PS: By the way, Mr. Kocharyan, you probably were not informed that neither the US, nor Iran, nor Russia have included Professor Charchyan in their groups, so he should not be automatically served,” Simonian wrote, presenting videos.
