Real Armed Clash, War: North Korea Warns

The hostile actions of the United States in the Korean Peninsula could lead to a "real war" with North Korea. This was announced by the head of the press service of the North Korean Ministry of Defense, as reported by the Korean Central News Agency.

“Today, as the U.S. military adventurism on a global scale crosses a dangerous threshold, the harsh geopolitical situation predicts that military operations by the U.S. against our state could turn into real war at any moment,” North Korea stated.

The representative of the defense department recalled the Freedom Edge exercises involving the Republic of Korea and Japan, the entry of the Columbia submarine into Busan, and the flight of RC-135 reconnaissance aircraft.

“We decisively warn and demand that the U.S. and its satellites, which are hostile towards the DPRK, immediately cease further provocative and destabilizing hostile actions that could lead to actual armed clashes in the Korean Peninsula and its surroundings,” added the officials in Pyongyang.

The Ministry of Defense stated that taking measures to ensure self-defense and security, as well as maintaining a balance of power in the region, is the constitutional duty of the armed forces of the DPRK. “The Korean People's Army is closely monitoring the actions of the U.S. and its allies in the military field and, maintaining complete combat readiness, does not rule out any possibilities. If necessary, it will take immediate measures to prevent potential threats and achieve the state's military and strategic objectives,” warned officials in Pyongyang.
