Biden Responds to ICC Issuing Arrest Warrant for Netanyahu

U.S. President Joe Biden finds the International Criminal Court's (ICC) issuance of arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Israeli Minister of Defense Yoav Gallant to be outrageous. This statement was included in a press release from the White House.

“The ICC’s decision to issue arrest warrants against Israeli leadership is outrageous. Let me clarify once again: regardless of what the ICC may imply, there is no equivalence between Israel and the Hamas movement. We will always stand by Israel in the face of its security threats,” the statement reads.

It is worth noting that earlier reports indicated that ICC prosecutor Karim Khan had sought an arrest warrant for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the Israeli Minister of Defense, as well as three leaders of the Palestinian Hamas group.
