Yerevan Keeps Its Distance, Says Russian Deputy Foreign Minister
On November 28, a CSTO summit is set to take place in Kyrgyzstan. In response to reporters' questions about whether Armenia will participate in upcoming CSTO events, including the meeting of leaders, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Pankin stated: "You should direct your question to the Armenian side. Judging by the statements from the Armenian side, Armenia is distancing itself at this stage from participating in absolutely all formats of CSTO activities at various levels," said the Russian Deputy Foreign Minister.
It is worth noting that earlier, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that "the CSTO creates threats to Armenia's security, its future existence, and sovereignty." Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan mentioned at the International Security Forum in Warsaw that Yerevan is assessing all risks associated with the decision to withdraw from the CSTO.
