Video: There is a shortage of border guards, NSS organizes recruitment

The Border Guard Troops of the National Security Service (NSS) of Armenia are organizing recruitment for positions of junior officer and enlisted personnel in units responsible for state border protection located in the Shirak, Lori, Tavush, and Syunik regions of the Republic of Armenia.

Eligible applicants are male citizens of the Republic of Armenia who have completed mandatory military service and are under 45 years of age. The service follows a shift schedule of 15 days on duty followed by 15 days off. Servicemen will benefit from the privileges and social guarantees provided to contractual servicemen under Armenian law.

The NSS Border Guard Troops are also conducting recruitment for military service positions for officers, junior officers, and enlisted personnel at the “Agarak” border checkpoint of the Armenia-Iran state border. This was announced by the NSS.

For officer positions, applicants must be under 30 years old and hold a higher education degree. For senior junior officer positions, applicants must be under 30 years of age and have at least a secondary education. For junior officer and enlisted positions, female citizens and male citizens who have completed mandatory military service are eligible if they are under 45 years old.
