A Special Provision Exists in the 2020 Trilateral Statement Regarding This: Bayramov
The opening of transportation communications between Azerbaijan and Armenia is not a new topic. Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov stated that transportation infrastructure is being constructed in Azerbaijan, which will soon connect to the Armenian border.
He noted that there is a specific provision in the 2020 trilateral statement regarding this issue: “It clearly outlines the obligations that Armenia undertakes. This topic has been discussed for a long time. After 3.5 years of discussions, we consider the phrase 'an agreement has been reached' to be delayed. This agreement should have been established long ago. If there is still no official document on this issue, and if Armenia has not begun work in this direction, then there are still open questions. Meanwhile, work is rapidly underway in Azerbaijan to create transportation infrastructure that will soon connect to the Armenian border,” he said.
