Number of Registered Vehicles in Armenia Approaches 1 Million

The number of registered vehicles in Armenia is nearing 1 million, a growth supported by the influx of vehicles during the forced displacement from Artsakh.

In response to a written inquiry from Factinfo, the Armenian Ministry of Internal Affairs provided statistical data regarding the number of registered vehicles in recent years. As of December 31, 2021, there were 832,323 registered vehicles in Armenia, an increase of approximately 12,000 over the course of one year, bringing the total to 844,068 by December 31, 2022.

In 2023, following the forced displacement from Artsakh, the growth rate of registered vehicles significantly exceeded that of previous years. As of December 31, 2023, the number of registered vehicles reached 889,595. Furthermore, by September 9, 2024, the number of vehicles has already increased by over 21,000, totaling 911,264.
