Armenian President and ICRC President Discuss Captive Issues

The Presidential Office reports that President Vahagn Khachaturyan met with the President of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), Mirjana Spoljaric Egger. During the meeting, issues related to missing persons, captives, and other detained individuals, as well as other humanitarian matters, were discussed.

President Khachaturyan emphasized the importance of close cooperation with the ICRC, highlighting its role in overcoming humanitarian crises and protecting international humanitarian law. She noted that continuous work towards the return of captives and other detained individuals, as well as clarifying the fate of missing persons, is extremely important, stressing the need to activate joint efforts in this direction.
