Russia Ready to Consider Peace Negotiations

Russia is prepared to consider any proposal for peace negotiations regarding Ukraine if it is put forward by the newly elected U.S. President Donald Trump. This statement was made by Gennady Gatilov, Russia's permanent representative to the United Nations, during a press conference in Geneva. Reuters referenced Gatilov's remarks.

Gatilov noted that Trump had previously promised to resolve the Ukrainian crisis in one night. "Well, let him try. But we are realistic people, of course, we understand that it will never happen. However, if he proposes something to start a political process, that would be welcome," the diplomat added.
