Azerbaijan Responds to Pashinyan's Statements
The opening of transport communications between Azerbaijan and Armenia is not a new topic. This was stated by Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov in response to Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's statements regarding communications.
He noted that the trilateral statement from 2020 contains a specific provision outlining the obligations assumed by Armenia. “This topic has been discussed for a long time. After three and a half years of discussions, we consider the expression 'an agreement has been reached' to be overdue. That agreement should have been reached a long time ago. If there is still no official document on this matter, and if Armenia has not begun work in this direction, then there are still open questions. Meanwhile, in Azerbaijan, work is being rapidly carried out to create transport-communication infrastructure, which will soon be delivered to the border with Armenia,” he stated.
