How Much Money Has Been Spent Only on the Central Holiday Decorations: 'Hraparak'
The Yerevan Municipality is already in the festive frenzy two months before New Year’s. The city is in the preparatory phase for holiday decorations. The reason for starting the New Year’s preparations early may be the desire to address the state of transportation and the upcoming price increases. This is reported by the newspaper 'Hraparak'.
The municipality has proposed an unprecedented sum of 600 million drams for the holiday decoration and lighting of Republic Square and the adjacent streets. This includes 50 million drams allocated for the supply of branches and decoration items for the main Christmas tree in Republic Square, 60 million for the holiday decoration of the singing fountain area, and 190 million for organizing the Christmas market, and 90 million drams for the ceremony of lighting the main Christmas tree. Additionally, 210 million has been set aside for holiday lighting work. Overall, 600 million drams—over half a billion drams.
