They Don't Care About the Fate of the People There: Zakharova
The United States and the European Union aim to take control of the South Caucasus, infiltrating the region and displacing Russia, Iran, and Turkey. This was stated by Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, during a press briefing.
"They completely disregard the fate of the South Caucasus and its peoples. Unlike the West, we are interested in seeing a safe, stable, and prosperous region," Zakharova said.
According to Zakharova, Russia has a presence in the South Caucasus, where it has natural, historical, economic, humanitarian, and financial interests and is prepared to develop the region. "The Russian side is ready to continue providing comprehensive support to Armenian and Azerbaijani partners based on the trilateral agreements achieved at the highest level, aiming for sustainable peace in the region," she added.
