I Have Two Good News. Simonyan

It is ridiculous to accuse our government of systematic corruption; people do not believe it. This was stated by the Speaker of the National Assembly, Alen Simonyan, during the discussion of the 2025 budget.

“We were called traitors before, but now the word hero is becoming annoying. That hero word is a problem, they say, we already called you a traitor, and it didn’t work, now they are calling you a hero. Can people really become heroes? Can people realize that they are citizens, that they have rights, and during elections they try to distribute money, not take it, because they already understand that they are heroes? Of course, people are heroes because they create jobs, and with that work, they feed the soldier you are talking about,” he said.

“Ms. Khachatryan mentioned Monte's name. I remembered when we were members of the city council, we had to fight until we managed to convince [the authorities] to name a street after Monte; it was exhausting. Ms. Grigoryan also says that a pregnant woman was thrown under a car; that manipulation is both old and cheap because everyone knows that no one has thrown anyone under a car, and everyone knows that there is a law in the Republic of Armenia, and fair justice exists, which often we, along with our colleagues and citizens, are dissatisfied with, and that is a subject of discussion,” he added.

Simonyan noted that since 2018, the number of official vehicles for the government and the National Assembly has been reduced. “And finally, I have two pieces of good news; both are good. The first is that most likely, you will not be in the next parliament. The second good news is that this current government will return to power with a higher vote in transparent, fair elections in the Republic of Armenia, without distributing money, which will be recognized by all countries in the world,” said Simonyan.
