VIDEO: Helicopter Makes Hard Landing, Casualties Reported in Kazakhstan

A Mi-8 helicopter belonging to the Ministry of Defense of Kazakhstan made a hard landing in the western part of the country. This was reported by the press service of Kazakhstan's Ministry of Emergency Situations.

There were three crew members on board, one of whom was killed and two others were injured. "On November 9, at 11:40 AM, a report was received about a hard landing of the helicopter near the village of Sarijar in the Markut district. Emergency Situations Department forces and resources were dispatched to the scene, including five units of equipment and 23 personnel," the statement noted.

Rescuers who arrived at the scene extinguished the fire. Two of the injured were transferred to Aktobe city by a Yak-40 aircraft, heading to the Military Institute of Air Defense Forces.
