Pentagon Lifts Ban on American Contractors' Presence in Ukraine
The Pentagon has lifted the ban on the presence of American contractors in Ukraine, allowing them to repair weapons supplied to Kyiv. This was reported by Reuters, citing U.S. officials.
It is noted that the Biden administration has decided to remove this restriction in the final months of its tenure. According to the agency's source, the number of contractors will be small, stationed away from the front lines, and they will not participate in military operations.
Foreign Policy had previously reported that Kyiv was specifically prohibited from repairing the barrels of American M777 howitzers.
