How Much Budget Does Yerevan Plan to Have in 2025: Avinyan
In 2024, our own revenues are planned to be 61 billion 514 million drams, compared to 38 billion 799 million drams in 2023. This was stated by Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan during the budget discussions in the National Assembly.
“I want to emphasize that Yerevan is planning to generate approximately 90 billion 234 million drams in revenue by 2025. Currently, the additional subsidy proposed by the Ministry of Finance is 9.5 billion drams, while we have 58 billion primarily to be allocated for salaries in schools and maintenance costs,” he said.
He also noted that they have 13.4 billion drams in loans and grants, while the targeted allocations and subsidies from the state amount to 1 billion 133 million drams.
“The Yerevan community loan-grant amounts to 1 billion, and we are planning fund revenues of approximately 8 billion drams. We are forecasting significant growth in our own revenues in Yerevan, and we expect to maintain this dynamic for another 1-2 years, but at some point, we need to reach a new normal,” Avinyan added.
