Baku Can "Force" Yerevan, Says Azerbaijan's Security Council Secretary
Mariam Z.
The Secretary of the Azerbaijan National Security Council, Ramil Usubov, stated that a number of external forces are attempting to "exploit" Armenia to create threats in the region.
"Azerbaijan, as a victorious country and the center of military power in the region, can 'force' Armenia to sign a peace treaty based on international law," the Azerbaijani official said.
According to Usubov, Azerbaijan is capable of countering any pressure, including "revanchist actions." He emphasized that "the signing of a peace treaty is possible if Armenia renounces external influence and makes decisions in the interest of its people."
