Erdogan Speaks of One of the 'Harshest Genocides of the Century'

The President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, has accused Israel of committing one of the harshest genocides of this century in the Gaza Strip. According to him, nearly 50,000 people have died as a result of Israel's aggressive actions since October of the previous year.

"One of the harshest genocides of our century is taking place in the Gaza Strip," Erdogan stated.

Erdogan emphasized the necessity of recognizing Palestine by as many countries as possible in response to Israel's aggression against Gaza and Lebanon. He also called on the Islamic world to set aside disagreements and support the peoples of Palestine and Lebanon in their struggle.

The Turkish president reminded that his country has halted trade with Israel and joined the lawsuit against Israel at the International Court of Justice at the UN. Since the beginning of the crisis, Turkey has also sent more than 85,000 tons of humanitarian aid to the region through Egypt.

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has urged the UN Security Council to impose an arms embargo against Israel. He accused the United States of supporting terrorists in the Middle East and termed the establishment of Israel a disaster for the Palestinians.
