The Second Round of Presidential Elections in Moldova Concludes

Polling stations in Moldova closed at 21:00, and the counting of votes has begun. As of the latest data, voter turnout was 54.10 percent. In the second round of the elections, citizens voted more actively both within the country and abroad compared to the first round held on October 20.

The current leader, Maia Sandu, is competing for the presidential position against former chief prosecutor Alexandru Stoianoglo. After all protocols are completed, the candidate with the most votes will be recognized as the winner. In the event of a tie, the candidate who received the most votes in the first round will be elected.
