Syunik Football Club Responds to Developments Surrounding Melikbekyan

Syunik Football Club has issued an official statement regarding the current situation in Armenian football.

Dear members of the football community,

Syunik FC wishes to address the circumstances surrounding Armenian football. In the elections for the President of the Armenian Football Federation (AFF) held in December 2023, Syunik FC supported the incumbent president, Armen Melikbekyan, by voting in his favor.

The club understands the dissatisfaction expressed by fans regarding the performance of the Armenian national team and various age group teams. Nevertheless, Armenian football also includes mass football, youth football, futsal, women's football, and football infrastructure. The AFF has undertaken significant work in these areas in recent years, the results of which are evident, while the remaining challenges require immediate solutions that can be achieved through the unified efforts of the football community.

Thus, we affirm our complete support for the current leadership of the AFF.
