Which Artsakh Circles Were Consulted for the Contradictory Decision, Stepanyan Asks
It is interesting which Artsakh circles were consulted to arrive at this decision that contradicts the interests of the Artsakh people. Perhaps this is merely a routine expression used to legitimize this senseless decision. This was stated by the Ombudsman of Artsakh, Gegham Stepanyan, in a post on his Facebook page, commenting on the statement from the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs regarding the payment of 40,000 dram vouchers.
“The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of the Republic of Armenia has announced that the '40+10 thousand' support program will continue until April, after which it will only apply to special groups. It is noteworthy that the statement emphasizes that this decision was made based on discussions with the people of Artsakh in various formats and the proposals and observations received during those meetings.
It is curious which Artsakh circles were consulted to arrive at this decision that contradicts the interests of the Artsakh people; perhaps this is just a routine expression used to legitimize this senseless decision. If there indeed was a meeting with some Artsakh circles, and their proposals and observations were the basis for this decision, then the Artsakh community deserves to know who these individuals are that assume the right to speak on behalf of the Artsakh people and present proposals and observations that contradict their interests.
Note: I am informed that there have been no such discussions with representatives of the Artsakh National Assembly and the government.
