9-10 Accidents Weekly Involving Patrol Service Vehicles

Every week, 9 to 10 accidents are recorded involving patrol service vehicles. This is reported by Hetq, detailing that over the course of a year, every third incident involving patrol service vehicles has been caused by a member of the patrol service.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs has stated that between October 1, 2023, and October 1, 2024, there have been 468 incidents involving patrol service vehicles, of which 150 were caused by patrol service employees.

Of these accidents, 180 occurred in Yerevan, while 296 took place in the regions. During these incidents, 15 patrol service officers sustained injuries of varying degrees, while there are no separate statistics available regarding injured civilians from either the ministry or the Investigative Committee.
