Russia Has Won in Georgia Today, Says Vladimir Zelensky

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky believes that Russia has won in Georgia today, as the country chose friendship with the Russian Federation rather than a path towards the European Union. Zelensky made this statement during an interview with representatives of leading Scandinavian media outlets, as reported by "European Truth."

In his opinion, Russia has won in Georgia today first by occupying part of the territory and then by changing the country's politics and government. "Now there is a pro-Russian government there, Russian positions. There are no sanctions against Putin, and there are many Russians in Georgia. Their choice is to be friends with Russia; their choice is not to join the EU. They have changed their position. Russia has won today. They have taken away Georgia's freedom," stated the Ukrainian President.

Commenting on the situation in Moldova, Zelensky noted that Russia is "moving in the same direction." “You will see, Russia is going the same way. If the West continues this rhetoric, then in a year or two Moldova will lose,” assured the Ukrainian President.

At the same time, Zelensky emphasized the difference between Ukraine and Georgia. "We are larger. This is the difference between us and Georgia. We are much larger. We have a larger population, more men who did not want to be Russian," concluded the President.
