From Physics and Mathematics Teacher to Deputy Governor of Syunik

The newspaper "Zhoghovurd" reports that Deputy Governor Hayk Harutyunyan is one of the long-serving members of the state system. He has worked with both previous and current authorities, rising from a physics and mathematics teacher to the position of Deputy Governor of Syunik.

He has declared 10 real estate properties, including 3 apartments in a multi-apartment building in the city of Kapan, Syunik province. The media outlet informs that the deputy governor has 4 land plots and 1 perennial planting; in addition, information about 2 other properties is protected confidentially.

From 2010 to 2014, Harutyunyan served as the Deputy Director for Educational Affairs at the Yeghvard Secondary School. Between 2014 and 2022, he was the head of the Education Department of the Syunik Provincial Government’s Ministry of Education, Culture, and Sports.

As of now, Deputy Governor Harutyunyan acquired a 2008 model Mazda car in 2020. His bank account balance amounts to 1.1 million drams, with nearly 1.5 million drams in cash.

During his tenure as Deputy Governor of Syunik, he reported an annual income of 9.5 million drams. The outstanding balance of loans and credits as of December 31 of the reporting year reached 2 million 779 thousand drams, with 2 million 732 thousand drams being the remaining principal amount of a mortgage on his apartment.
