We Call It the 'Armenian Carousel': Georgian President
Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili has stated that the term 'Armenian carousel' was used in reference to the parliamentary elections in Georgia. She made this remark during an interview with the Associated Press.
"We call it the 'Armenian carousel'. I don't know, maybe in Armenia they refer to it as a 'Georgian carousel'. The essence of this is that in the lead-up to elections, identification documents are seized from socially vulnerable individuals under various pretexts, and then they are used for voting. With the same identification card and various electronic devices, it is even possible to vote up to 17 times. They have access to a large number of identical identification cards and personal numbers," said the Georgian president.
