“Digging Through My Dirty Laundry”, Says Simonian to Tovmasyan
The Speaker of the National Assembly, Alen Simonian, has responded on his Telegram channel to former chair of the NA Human Rights Committee, Taguhi Tovmasyan.
“The former chair of the NA Human Rights Committee, ex-MP from the ‘My Step’ faction, the so-called former editor of the ‘Zhoghq’ newspaper, the author of the term ‘zero’ in Armenian, and now an ally of Serzh Sargsyan, Taguhi Tovmasyan (if I forgot something, I apologize) sleeps and wakes up with the thought of how to write something bad about me: ‘digging through my dirty laundry’, trying to find something. Now she has gone back to 2014 regarding my ‘Sicily’ LLC and made a monumental revelation that my LLC, which was registered in my name, had tax obligations in its last period of existence, which it did not fulfill, and which was later collected through judicial proceedings. In short, I gave my club to my friend, the documents remained in my name and he couldn’t manage it, pay taxes, went bankrupt and closed it, fulfilling his obligations to the state, right?”
“But the question is who is interested in all this or what does it change in our reality? As a well-known editor says, ‘zero’ thing. Or do you think that Serzh will read it, call, get agitated with me, or I will not sleep at night, or my voter will read it and say, ‘Wow, what did he do, they stole this country,’ etc., let’s say, what of it?”
“Every one of your articles showcases how bitter you are, dear Taguhi, how helpless you feel, how you are desperately looking for an opportunity to sting me, to feel important, and you fail to notice that even by writing something bad about me every day, you won’t solve that issue. You don’t even have the courage to come to NA sessions, to speak, to work; how do you imagine that such things have any effect on me or society? You can write every day, once every two months I will craft one such ‘zero’ post about you and your powerful media, and you can write daily and keep several lawyers around every piece you write to avoid being sued. You want me to become well-known and point out how my ghost has already appeared in your room. I pity you,” Simonian wrote.
